The list of the violin accessories found in my violin case that make practice and stage performance so much more comfortable!

I was going through all the things I store in my violin case and would like to share my findings with my fellow violin players. Maybe you will find them useful and will incorporate some of them into your studies and performances.

Everything from the violin case and shoulder rest to the fine tuner and hypoallergenic rosin.

Alternatives:

Shoulder rest can be replaced with a soft cloth, scarf or a special small pillow with extensions that can be tied around your neck. It can be crafted at home from the materials you have handy.

You can always replace ear plugs with a cotton ball. It will reduce some of the pitch of the instrument and make it more comfortable to practice.

Violin mute can be replaced with practicing at decent hours and for a short length of time 🤣

Alternatives:

You can use phone / tablet apps or a real piano to tune your instrument.

Instead of the string humidifier I listed, you can use a clean sponge and place it in your violin case (for example, under the finger board, on the bottom of the violin case). Also, you don't need to have it in the summer, as the air is humid enough. It becomes essential in the winter when the air is dry.
